A brief history of Fardhie Hantary's life from childhood to the present

Boy Alif also known as Fardhie Hantary, was born on July 20, 1978, in the city of Tebing Tinggi (though his ID card lists his birth year as 1973); he has since relocated to Medan. He is the second of five siblings; his eldest sister is named Firanaya Fasa, and his youngest is Artila Qur'ani Alti Fatahin. His other siblings are Almi Anbiya (deceased) and Aldra Iznul Ghiffari. Fardhie lived with his mother and grandmother in Tebing Tinggi for six years. During that time, his father Eddie Hadits Hamid was a renowned *ustadz* (Islamic religious teacher) in Medan, as well as an English teacher, a *Silat* (martial arts) instructor, and an Islamic intellectual. His mother’s name is Radisma Farida. Fardhie eventually moved to Medan with his mother, reuniting with his father and siblings. As a child, his friends nicknamed him "Sang Pujangga" (The Poet). By the age of nine, he could sing and play the guitar; among his friends, he was familiarly known as Boy Alif. By the time he entered junior high school, he was already composing his own songs. He frequently performed at school events and served as a flag-raising ceremony leader. Whenever he gathered with friends, he was always the smallest and looked the most adorable. During his final years of secondary school, however, he dropped out after striking a teacher while defending a friend, which resulted in his expulsion. In 1993, Fardhie ventured to Jakarta to gain experience, returning to Medan in 1996; upon his return, he began addressing his father as "Abi." From that time on, Fardhie studied the sciences of the Quran, the Sunnah, and Hadith. He deepened his knowledge of *Balaghah* (rhetoric), *Mantiq* (logic), and *Qasas* (narratives) under his father's tutelage and also learned some English from him, as his father held a degree in English Literature from Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) in Bandung. Fardhie returned to Jakarta for a second time in 1998. He performed as a singer in several bars there, though this stint was short-lived as he had to return to Medan. Fardhie has resided in Medan from the year 2000 to the present. He is married to Nisaa' Mardhiyah and Ani Murwani Muhar and has a son named Arruhu Nahya (born September 21, 1998), as well as twins named Nurul Janin and Nurul Hayyin (born August 10, 2011, coinciding with the 10th of Ramadan 1432 H). However, Fardhie is no longer accompanied by his father—his beloved "Abi" and teacher—as his father returned to Allah, the Creator of life and existence, on December 31, 2004  (إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُون). Fardhie Hantary’s vast breadth of knowledge, his thematically systematic and lucidly explanatory style—characterized by directness and insightful extrapolation—render the unseen or absent tangible and present in our lives, as if transporting us right into the heart of the subject matter being Narrated. Furthermore, Fardhie has produced his own musical works centered on themes of Religion and Social commentary.
